Guacamole

"Guacamole," Oliver said to Mark, as Mark opened to the car door to get him out.  "Avocado," Oliver said. Tonight, we went to an impromtu dinner gathering at a friend's house and guacamole was part of our dinner. As I served Oliver his dinner, I had explained that there was guacamole, and it is made with avocado.  Apparently, Oliver remembered this, and proceeded to repeat it to Mark just a few hours later.  We are amazed at what Oliver remembers and recounts to us on a regular basis.

A Crawler and A Sentence-Speaker

We now have a crawler on our hands!  For the past few weeks, Aiden has been using his toes to scoot himself around the room.  (Oliver was more of a roller/scooter.)  He can get to just about anything that is in the room, within reach of the floor.  Today, however, he got up on hands and knees and took a few "crawls" forward.

At one point, Oliver started to crawl around him, encouraging him, and showing him the proper technique.

On the Oliver front, Oliver has been saying full sentences periodically.  This evening, he said, "I want a banana, Daddy."  It was so clear, I think Mark had to do a double-take.

Aiden Months 4-6

Quite the personality Aiden has!  He is easy-going and super joyful (as long as his basic needs are met - fed, changed, rested).  He is growing so big!

Mommy/Daddy, Look!

Oliver regularly shows us how big he is.  Mommy/Daddy, "Look!" is what he says.
Here, he tries his push bike.
