We spent time in Bellingham, WA with TX friends, Ryan and Julie. We felt like we were in our own home, or one as hometown-relaxing as we could dream up, anyway. We talked to neighbors who maintain wildflower gardens for a living. We watched sea otters roll around in the tides. We went, with everyone else in the town it seemed, to sit on the grass in the town square and watch Casablanca, curled up in sleeping bags. We ate incredibly good ice cream. We talked about life while we played “Life” the board game (which Mark had never played before, incidentally). All in all, we'd say that we'd do it again in a heartbeat!

Did the neighbors ask you if you sword-fought with Ryan in college? I told them they should...
We had SO much fun with y'all! Thank you for stopping by for few days! Sterling - I'm pretty sure the sword-fighting question came up... how could it not with Ryan around? :)
Yeah, we talked about it! Their neighbors are really great!
